Canadian Communications Foundation

The Canadian Communications Foundation offers a comprehensive History of Canadian Broadcasting at its website www.broadcasting-history.ca

Included on the site are histories of every radio and television station and network in Canada, as well as a wealth of other historic detail about the evolution of Canada's broadcasting system.. The Foundation is a non profit registered charitable Foundation with no paid staff or offices, and all monies received are allocated to website research, writing and maintenance.

Originally funded by the CAB, the Foundation has in the past received donations from stations and individual present and past members of the industry. It has also received grants from Benefits Packages attending such major broadcast ownership changes as BCE's acquisition of CTV, CHUM's purchase of Craig Media and Astral's acquisition of Standard Broadcasting.

Now, however, those funds are running low, and the Foundation needs help. Please consider making a personal or corporate donation to the Foundation. Also, please check your station history on the site, and let us know of any necessary changes, corrections or additions. We can be reached at:
