Expanding our Personal Brands

1:45 pm - 2:45 pm

Advertising is not as simple as it used to be. We sell multiple products. Our clients have many choices on how and where to invest their advertising dollars. Our goal as salespeople is to be seen as “the expert” when a business thinks of advertising. We should be the one they call to advise them on how to create their campaigns. To be seen as “experts” we need to expand our personal brands. This session explores strategies to do this, to enlarge our footprint and become the “go-to person.”

Pat Bryson is the owner of Bryson Broadcasting International, a consulting firm that specializes in training and coaching radio salespeople and managers in Europe, Canada, Australia, Central Asia and the United States. Her work in Europe has included Poland, Albania, Ukraine, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Uzbekistan, Malta, Romania and Bulgaria. Her radio career has included on-air, sales, sales director and general director of stations.

She has a degree in Communications from the University of Tulsa, a management degree from Oral Roberts University, and continuing studies at Georgetown University. She was the recipient of two prestigious scholarships from the National Association of Broadcasters: The Executive Development program and The Broadcast Leadership Training program.

She has been a featured speaker at Radiodays Ireland, Radiodays Sweden, Radiodays Denmark, Radiodays Asia, EGTA, Radio Conference Poland, Krakfilm Festival, Australian National Radio Convention, Ontario Broadcasters Association, Christian Music Broadcaster’s Convention, Gospel Music Association of Canada, Asia Pacific Broadcast Union, and the National Association of Broadcasters in the United States.

She is the author of “A Road Map to Success in High-Dollar Broadcast Sales” and a new book, “Successful Broadcast Sales: Thriving in Change” available on her website. Her sales articles have been published in radio broadcast newsletters in the United States, Australia, Poland and Brazil.

She has three times been named to Radio Ink Magazine’s Most Influential Women in Radio.
